15th December 2007: VAA Social Barbeque
The VAA is holding a social occasion on the 15th December 2007 at Jell’s Park, Wheelers Hill.
The purpose of this pre-Christmas get together is purely social, to enjoy one another’s company, and to chat about life and astrology.
BYO food/drink/everything. There is no charge.
The exact rendezvous location at Jell’s Park will be announced in the next Horizons.

March 8th 2008: Talbot Observatory Excursion
A group of members is planning an excursion to the Talbot Observatory in Talbot, just north of Ballarat, on the weekend of the 8/9th of March 2008. We are meeting for dinner at the Talbot pub, and then convening across the road at the observatory at 8 pm.
There is space in the observatory for 15 people, and 8 places have been taken so far.
To reserve your place please contact Peter Burns on 9527 1411. Reservations will be taken a ‘first in best dressed’ basis. Cost per person is $10 each for the observaatory. Please note that this does figure not including travel, meals and accommodation.
Accommodation is available at the hotel, and at other venues around town.
Travel to and from, accomodation and meals, is by private arrangement.
While this excursion is not strictly a VAA event, it is included here as all particpants are VAA members.
