  • In Chinese Astrology, 2025 is the year of Wood Snake, delivering a strong Fire energy. There was no Fire in the annual energies since 2017, thus, we are called to re-orient ourselves towards positive aspects of Fire: inspiration, optimism, hope, success and expansion. At the same time, we need to be aware of potential shadow aspects of Fire: erratic, explosive behaviour and events and fanaticism. In 2025 and 2026 we will witness four major planets changing signs. This speaks of major transformation in our lives and the world we live in. How can we harness these high-vibrational energies, urging us to expand and transform? How can we ensure we do not get carried away by Fire's exciting influence and utilize it in a creative and productive way? This year, the Mother archetype holds the key... Includes video and slides
  • We are at the threshold of monumental changes to the world we live in and a deep transformation of the human consciousness. Chinese Astrology highlights 2024 as a milestone year, marking the commencement of the Age of Fire, which will last 20 years. As this new year began, we had our first New Moon of the year, in the power-packed sign of Capricorn. This supports my three-word forecast for 2024: it’s about power. An enormous power is waking up in the world now. Will it enhance governments and armies, or will it wake up humanity to fight for freedom and create a new world? How can we work constructively with so much power activating so many aspects of our lives?
  • Known as the ‘better’ of the cadent houses, the 3rd and the 9th houses are often ignored or simply glossed over in modern astrological practice. Tradition, however, shows there is much to be gained by understanding the origins of these houses and their meanings. Includes lecture notes as a PDF.
  • The Solar Return chart gives us a glimpse of the incidental images that will likely surround us for the year. Finding a place in our lives for the significant planetary signatures found within the Solar Return chart can help us to create purposeful opportunities for ourselves. Most planetary signatures can be put to use when we align our personal goals with the lots given to us that year. In this talk, we explore the idea of remediation in line with the concept of fate and freewill and will look at the Solar Return chart to see which parts of our lives are more fixed in course and which are more adaptable through conscious effort.
  • Chinese Year of the Water Tiger presented by Vic Ketis

This lecture looks at the dynamics and potentials of 2022, the Chinese Year of the Water Tiger. After 6 - 8 years dominated by the cooler constraining elements of Earth and Metal and Water, but particularly Metal, the Tiger ushers in the ‘Wood’ element. Wood is the element of creativity, birth, new growth, freedom, expression, movement forward, new ideology, initiatives, and breaking free, all of which we are seeing and you may be experiencing. Four Pillars of Destiny is Solar based astrology, and examines the elemental and energy dynamics of a Year. The solar New Year began on February 4 (as it always does) and the lunar New Year on February 1. Each Chinese Year is defined by 2 characters, a Yin foundational character and its associated Yang counterpart. They are shown in a column formation, called a Pillar. The lecture will give some introduction and background to the Year and the meaning of the elemental configuration.

  • Synodic Cycles: Interpreting Planetary Phases - presented by Shu Yap

When we look at any chart as a frozen image in time, it can be easy to forget that we’re actually looking at a living sky with continually moving stars. In reality, each planet has its own individual journey, experiencing different phases along their path and changing their archetypal behaviours along the way. In this talk, we introduce the topic of Synodic Cycles to help us understand the individual journey of each planet and to gain a deeper understanding of how they behave in any predictive or natal astrology chart. Concepts such as orientation, visibility, phasis, cazimi and maximum elongation will be explored. Observing the synodic cycles and the planetary phases gives us an understanding of the larger context behind each planet, allowing us to make more nuanced interpretations about them. It also helps us to broaden our 2D perspective of computer-generated charts and translate this into a 3D observation of the sky.
  • During my past three trips to Egypt, my gaze has always been upward memorized by the star maps, decans, and the zodiac panels on the ceilings of temples and tombs. One of the oldest celestial sky maps found in Egypt are those in the astronomical ceiling of Senenmut's Tomb, who was the architect of Hatshepsut, the female Pharoah from the 18th Dynasty ( 1499BC-1458 BC). In March this year, I was lucky to have been given the keys to open this tomb for our group as we were given special permission to go inside. It is not usually open for tourists as it’s a very small space. During my lecture, I show my photos and explain the astrological and astronomical symbolism in this tomb, and more from other temples like Esna and Dendera. Join me on my virtual mystical and magical tour of Egypt!
  • Using Geodetic and Astro Maps

Join Julija for an afternoon exploring Astro-Cartography and Geodetic Maps. Astro-Cartography maps are astrology charts projected onto the map of the world where we can easily see where planets rise, set culminate and anti-culminate. Geodetic Maps are simply a fixed zodiac system drawn onto the map of the world, into which we insert astrology charts. Find out the difference and where and how to use them for different purposes, for travel, relocation, solar returns, horary, mundane charts and more.
  • We welcome back Peter Burns in person, on Saturday 16th of September 2023, for his talk on Money, Wealth, Winning the Lottery, and Your Horoscope. Money gets a bad rap in some circles. Apparently, it’s not very spiritual. But by itself money is neither positive nor negative. It’s only our perspective that makes it so. In this lecture Peter Burns will look at 10 indicators of money and wealth, derived from traditional and modern sources, in the natal chart. What does the natal horoscope say about how you obtain money, how lucky are you... and similar questions. "Will I win the lottery?" is a question often asked. Peter draws from both traditional and modern natal astrology to answer this question. The charts of lottery winners are then examined to establish whether these indicators are relevant. Also we’ll look for indicators in your horoscope that show:
    • How to make money
    • Times in life when you are more likely to be prosperous
    • Ways to maximise your opportunities if you are challenged in the money

  • The Greek and Roman Gods were always surrounded by an entourage of Goddesses and Demi-Gods, providing the background and context for their stories. And so naturally, Pluto has his own lineup of minor planets named for them in attendance, as he enters Aquarius. In fact, they have announced his presence, through a stunning set of tightly orbed aspect patterns... In this lecture Sara will unpack the series of T Squares, Grand Trines, Yods and Kites concerned, delving into the mythology of the archetypes they involve, as well as what this may mean for us, personally and collectively, as we proceed through Pluto’s 20 year cycle in the sign of Aquarius.

  • The Birth of Venus and Mars presented by Michele Finey

In February and March 2022 there are two Venus-Mars conjunctions. These are highly significant conjunctions for a variety of reasons. Michele will explain the importance of these celestial alignments, particularly in light of their 32-year cycle. Michele is feeling positive about 2022. There could not be a better time to harness the creative potential of Venus and Mars. Personally, and for the wider community, these conjunctions offer us a unique opportunity to experience rebirth. Michele says that during lockdown it was good to have a big project to focus on, and, since the timing is right, she has chosen this meeting, in conjunction with her presentation, to officially launch her new book, 'The Test of Time.' 'The Test of Time' examines the celestial mechanics of stations as well as their meaning and interpretation. How should we interpret motionless planets? What challenges and opportunities do they symbolise? The book also includes a host of fascinating case histories of well-known people and events, and covers a range of dwarf planets and asteroids.
