Discover your Pathway of Illumination. Where in the world do you shine? This lecture explores eclipse paths, the ultimate pathway of illumination. Each one of us belongs to an eclipse group. Hermetic astrologers in ancient times believed eclipses showed how an incarnating soul was connected to the earth plane. The shadow of the prenatal or postnatal eclipse was considered a karmic beacon to be used to navigate through life. In particular, people and experiences we encounter during our lifetime relate to our eclipse paths around the globe. -
In this lecture, Vic Ketis explores what Chinese astrology indicates about the upcoming influences of the year ahead Prominent Western astrological transits and ingresses are also considered. In particular Vic looks at Pluto, which he refers to as the ‘Progression of Pluto.’ He also looks at numerous discoveries in Science and Astronomy and what they might mean when viewed through a mythic narrative. As background to this lecture, Vic briefly introduces the system of Classical Chinese Astrology, a ‘solar’ system of astrology based on the system of 5 Elements, which, along with Yin and Yang, form the foundations of Chinese Philosophy and Traditional Chinese Medicine. -
This lecture is divided into two sections: In the first half, Vic Ketis examines the upcoming Chinese year, 2020 being the Year of the ‘Metal Rat’. According to the Chinese Astrological paradigm, a new cycle begins in 2020. The previous year of the Rat, 2008, was the time of the GFC, and the last year of the Metal Rat was 1960, the year that ushered in the revolutionary 60’s. In 2020, we also come to the end of a Chinese 20 Year Cycle as well as the governing 180 Year cycle. In this lecture, Vic makes reference to these cycles as being critical to the interpretation of the year. 2020 also ushers in the Saturn-Pluto conjunction and the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction.. In the second half, spurred on by the decimation of forests, landscapes and ecologies by bushfires etc.,Vic draws upon principles of Feng Shui to ascertain what makes a landscape ‘auspicious’ and ‘life enhancing’, ultimately to answer the question, "what are the optimal conditions that are required for a healthy and abundant life?" He then correlates this with the relevant planets and the current astrological cycles - a merging of a Feng Shui and Astrological narrative.

In this talk, Peter explains the meaning of planetary hours, how they are used and how to calculate them quickly without a computer. Planetary hours go to the heart of astrology in our understanding of the unique quality of time. The most fundamental assumption of astrology, so rarely stated, is that the quality of time varies from moment to moment. While the use of clocks in modern society might lead us to assume that time is a stream of uniform moments of equal quality, ancient astrology points to a different conclusion. Peter also explains some applications of the planetary hours in horary and natal astrology. -
In this astrology talk, Ray Factor considers the impact of the Uranus-Pluto square as well as the ‘fatedness’ attached to the prevailing conditions. Ray also examines both the current and forthcoming conditions against the discovery charts of the outer planets and Chiron (ie. those bodies that fall beyond Saturn, and therefore outside our ‘direct control’). She illustrates various astrological techniques, including the house system and Cosmobiology, and compares the 45 degree transit graph, the 90 degree dial and planets in relation to the Midheaven and the Ascendant. Janet employs a more holistic approach - of planetary syndrome and midpoint synthesis rather than interpreting each aspect in isolation from each other. -

So how might this adjustment change the way we view our natal chart? This lecture explores the astrological techniques that relocate a horoscope and the information that can be gleaned from them. It also touches on techniques like astro*carto*graphy maps which depict lines throughout the world.
