The Secret Dance of Venus and Mars: A New Perspective on Relationships

Unlike the synodic cycles of other planets, conjunctions of Venus and Mars occur at random intervals and skip back and forth across the zodiac. There is no obvious pattern to this cycle; in fact the Venus-Mars cycle seems to defy explanation, but how can this be?
Intrigued by this mystery, Michele Finey has spent several years researching the Venus-Mars synod. These cosmic lovers share an intricate and complicated celestial relationship which is reflected in the complex nature of our personal relationships; as above; so below.
In this presentation we will examine three planetary synods, the Venus-Sun cycle, the Mars-Sun cycle and the mysterious and beautiful Venus-Mars cosmic dance. If time permits, a number of interactive exercises will be included, so bring your charts.
While Venus and Mars in their solar cycles tell us a great deal about our relationship needs and style of individual expression, the Venus-Mars cycle goes much further.
As it unfolds over thousands of years, the Venus-Mars synod opens up a whole new dimension of astrological study and a completely fresh perspective on relationships.
Over thousands of years, the Venus-Mars ‘Saros’, as Michele calls it, impacts upon society as a whole throughout the ages and has other wide ranging implications. The celestial mechanics of the Venus-Mars cycle also removes any doubt about exactly which conjunction marks the beginning of Venus’ solar cycle.

Michele Finey began studying astrology in 1980.
