As Melanie Reinhart suggests, an open minded contemplation of Chiron in an astrological chart, alongside an understanding of the key concepts in the myth, can lead to an intuitive and healing approach to assist us, or a client, with understanding in order to integrate these themes in a personally helpful way. Key themes include: rejection, unworthiness or a sense of isolation; physical disablement, illness or inner emotional wounds; suffering and pain in personal growth; healing, wholeness and the laws of nature.
Using her own natal chart, and the charts of other well known identities, Jacqui Godfrey will explore the personal stories behind Chiron’s natal placement and how they, and key Chiron transits, relate to the themes raised in the myth.
About the Speaker
Jacqui Godfrey has been working as a Naturopath for over 15 years, incorporating nutrition, herbal medicine, flower essences and homeopathy. She also integrates astrology into her naturopathic consultations, which provides her with greater depth and understanding of her clients.
Jacqui’s personal journey began a week before her 13th birthday when she contracted Transverse Myelitis. It resulted in paraplegia, a permanent disability, which created major change in her life, altering her future and the way she saw the world.
A year into a Science degree, she switched to Naturopathy, which resonated more closely with her budding spiritual growth. Whilst completing the Naturopathy degree, she began to practice meditation and became intrigued with astrology, psychotherapy and alternative therapies, such as homeopathy and kinesiology.
In 2008, Jacqui began formal study of astrology with Christine Rothwell and in 2016 completed the FAA Practitioner’s Diploma, receiving the FAA Silver Medal Doris Greaves Award for both the Interpretation and Dynamic exams. And at the May 2017 meeting, Jacqui will receive the prestigious FAA Gold Medal for Excellence!
