On Saturday 21st of September we welcome Rob Bailey for his talk Traditional Synastry and Relationship Astrology. This meeting will be in-person at the Liardet Community Centre AND online via Zoom.
Lecture Description
Synastry is the art of comparing two birth charts to determine relationship potential. We often think synastry is a modern practice, but this form of astrology has actually been around for about 2000 years! In this lecture Rob will take you on a fascinating tour of the history of synastry, using a combination of archaeological evidence and extracts from surviving texts from the ancient and medieval traditions to build up a picture of how our predecessors practiced synastry. In the second half of the lecture, Rob will teach you how to use these ancient synastry techniques today, using examples of famous relationships.
About the Speaker
Rob Bailey is an astrologer living in Canberra, Australia. He is passionate about the history of astrology and is currently focused on the study and revival of early medieval horary astrology. His approach to astrology combines traditional techniques with modern counselling skills and a client-led approach to readings. Rob is preparing a course on horary astrology with the well-known American astrologer Chris Brennan, host of The Astrology Podcast.
