Michelle Proctor with “Archetypal Astrology and the Power of Image for Self, Soul, Spirit”
For many astrologers, chart symbols create mind-image associations that might become locked in. The chart symbols are essentially squiggles without images to bring them alive. When studying astrology, teachers and texts help us with the journey of which images inform which archetypes, and beyond that, archetypal images constantly update. Whether we add to our image ideas of signs, planets, houses from watching TV, reading magazines, engaging with online articles, websites; or interacting with others and thinking ‘oh, they are quintessentially e.g. Capricorn’ and associating their faces etc with that, much informs the exploration of image. Words themselves create mind-images, whether keywords for the zodiac signs or words in basic newsprint. Sound too creates images.
In this presentation, “Archetypal Astrology and the Power of Image for Self, Soul, Spirit”, explore image anew for the ‘new normal’!
About the Speaker
Michelle Proctor, Radiant Living, has previously spoken at the VAA twice, once in 2005 on ‘Astrology and the Chakras’, and also in 2008 on ‘The Solstices, the Cross and the Soul’s Journey’. Next in 2018, she didn’t talk because the venue was flooded out! (Greater Melbourne changing energies pre-lockdown). Now in August 2023 Michelle is combining intuitive insight with built knowledge of symbology, archetypes, cycles and timing to talk on the power of image for ‘self, soul, spirit’.
In this talk Michelle will share her journey with image as a past and current readings & consulting astrologer/tarot insight counsellor, and as a table energy healer from the years 2001 to 2017. Michelle is a member of Astrology and Holistic Healing associations, and completed a graduate degree in comparative literature at Melb Uni in the late 1980s, a building block to symbolic awareness.
