Workshop #1 – Prosperity and Adversity with Mari Garcia
Time: 10am – 12:30pm Register at 9:30am
Every week millions buy lottery tickets, put a bet on the horses or simply wish for a better life – be it more money, greater prominence, better prospects for either themselves or their families. Some succeed through effort, others through what seems like luck while many struggle simply to survive. What is the difference between those who prosper or those who languish in adversity? Is it just luck or is there more than meets the eye? Finding the right indicators in the natal chart can point us in the right direction.
Workshop #2 – Out of Bounds with Mari Garcia
Time: 1:30 – 4pm Register at 1pm
When we describe a person, an act or a place as being “out of bounds” we often mean that these are not bound by social, professional or cultural conventions which govern the majority of society. In astrology, the term “out of bounds” refers to a planet’s declination – its position along the plane of the ecliptic. What happens when planets stray from the established path of the ecliptic? How do they manifest in the individual’s life and what is their expression as a “sign of the times” in mundane astrology? Do they push the boundaries of acceptability and how do they do this? This lecture explores just how these planets operate in a chart.
