The Lot of Fortune (AKA Fortuna) is a treasure, hiding in our charts. She is a powerful and often over looked player in our chart. Understanding how to work with Fortuna, offers us an entirely new way of approaching the chart, which provides practical information and guidance regarding real live matters including health and wealth.
For centuries, starting around the 2nd century BCE, Fortuna was considered to be one of the most important points in a natal chart; being on par with the Sun, Moon and Ascendant. Today this mysterious point is rarely used and poorly understood. Exploring the history and philosophical reasoning on which it is based, we come to understand how and why it was used.
In this presentation I will expand on Fortuna’s meaning and her importance as the Moon’s ASC. I will demonstrate how to find her in your chart and explore the ways to work with it in order to reveal the vast repository of insights that she has to offer.
The Natal Chart can make more sense and fall beautifully into place when you open a reading through the South Node of the Moon. This point acts as the soul’s entryway, revealing where we’ve come from, what’s familiar, and the emotional patterns we’ve carried forward.
When we start here, the rest of the chart begins to align. The planets, aspects, and houses all find context and meaning through the South Node’s story.
