For many astrologers, chart symbols create mind-image associations that might become locked in. The chart symbols are essentially squiggles without images to bring them alive. When studying astrology, teachers and texts help us with the journey of which images inform which archetypes, and beyond that, archetypal images constantly update. Whether we add to our image ideas of signs, planets, houses from watching TV, reading magazines, engaging with online articles, websites; or interacting with others and thinking ‘oh, they are quintessentially e.g. Capricorn’ and associating their faces, etc, with that, much informs the exploration of image. Words themselves create mind-images, whether keywords for the zodiac signs or words in basic newsprint. Sound too creates images.
