Evolutionary Astrology has focused the attention of many astrologers onto the significance of the Lunar Nodes when delineating a horoscope chart. It is not so widely understood that all the planets have nodes, the points where their orbit intersects the ecliptic.
Dane Rudhyar believed that these planetary nodes described the whole orbit, and thus the nature of the planet, more fully than the planet does itself! Jeffrey Wolf Green, as well as some of the astrologers who studied with him, have researched this further and found the planetary nodes of the outer planets to give vital information in regard to turning points in the lives of both individuals and the collective. These nodes add another layer of information, when working with clients to determine the patterning or conditioning that has been brought forward from the past through the natal chart.
Sara’s lecture will focus on the nature of the planetary nodes, which behave very differently than the lunar nodes. She will demonstrate their use in the charts of famous individuals, clients and world events. Sara will also demonstrate how to add these extra points to a chart using Solar Fire.
It is critical to note that the South Nodes of Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto have all been moving through the last decan of Capricorn for last couple of centuries, corresponding with the conjunction of Saturn and Pluto in the sign during January 2020. This has resulted in the increasing power of materialism and the last throes (hopefully) of the patriarchy at the moment.
